Why We Recommended It
Stop wrestling with YouTube's clunky 'Watch Later' feature. Play turns your Mac into a powerful video management hub, letting you save clips from any app or website, organize them with tags and notes, and watch them later on any Apple device. This critically acclaimed productivity tool is normally $2.99, but it's free right now—a rare chance to grab an app that 9to5Mac, MacStories, and The Verge all call a must-have. Unlike YouTube's algorithm-driven feed, Play gives you chronological subscriptions, removes Shorts clutter, and even offers AI-powered transcription and summarization. Whether you're a power user automating with Shortcuts or just want to queue videos for your Apple TV, Play delivers a clean, iCloud-synced experience that makes video management effortless. Don't miss this limited-time free offer.

User Reviews
Hello, could you add a better editor for the notes section? Sometimes I like to make elaborate notes for videos. It would be awesome if the editor could become fullscreen, perhaps support markdown, maybe support references to tags or other videos, and an export feature. I would very much appreciate this!Could you also add the ability to keep the transcripts downloaded, so I don’t have to click the button to get the transcripts every time?Thank you. Awesome app!
This app fits the way I often save videos to watch later *perfectly.* I find stuff around the web during my day-to-day, want to save it somewhere, then watch a lot of it on my Apple TV while on lunch or in the evening. I save stuff to Play from the share sheet, turn on my Apple TV, and all these links are just there immediately. 👨🏻🍳’s 💋 Play rules, get it!

I read about this app on 9to5Mac but for some reason I didn't immediately download it. A few weeks ago I redownloaded it and oh my god why didn't I do this sooner?! I *needed* an app like this for so long!!! The tagging features, the ability to add notes, the ability to quickly add a video I come across without filling up my playlists, being able to search, being able to add multiple at once...I cannot stress how much of a life saver this app is. I'm ecstatic someone finally made it! Thank you!!!
