Why We Recommended It
For a limited time, the acclaimed meditation timer i-Qi (Meditation Timer Singing Bowls) is free on iOS, dropping from its $1.99 price. Unlike generic meditation apps that rely on synthesized tones, this tool delivers authentic, uncompressed recordings of real singing bowls, crafted with sound therapist Olli Hess and endorsed by Peter Hess in his book "Sound Transformation." Whether you need a gentle wake-up alarm inspired by the Golden Ratio, a calming background for yoga, or an ever-changing sound journey for deep meditation, i-Qi creates a truly resonant experience. What sets i-Qi apart is its exceptional attention to natural decay and rich overtones, producing a living, meditative atmosphere that evolves with each listening. The app lets you combine multiple sounds, adjust volumes, and create personalized soundscapes. Its Sound Journeys feature introduces random variations in timing and strike intensity, ensuring no two sessions are alike. This is the perfect moment to claim i-Qi for free—normally $1.99—and transform your daily mindfulness practice with the purest singing bowl sounds available.

I couldn’t stand being thrown out of bed in the morning with the more traditional alarm sounds, so I decided to search for a more gentle sound to wake. My search brought me here & I’ve never used anything else. The available tones are all so beautiful & simple, but very capable of gently shaking your shoulder to let you know it’s time. This new update looks very exciting & I’m looking forward to getting to know all that’s new, and still doing just what it’s supposed to. Take care~

I bought this app to replace my Zen alarm clock, which stopped working after a power outage. The app is easy to use, and I absolutely love the choices of sounds. It’s just what I wanted! However, there’s a fatal flaw for me: It won’t play the tones when the phone is plugged in. (After I get woken but by my backup alarm and unplug my phone, the tone immediately starts sounding.) So if you are one of the many people who leave your phone plugged in to recharge while you sleep, and also wish to use the phone as an alarm clock, this app isn’t going to work for you. V. disappointing, and a waste of my money.
