Why We Recommended It
Cutter, a professional speeds and feeds calculator for end mills and ball nose cutters, is now available for free on iOS—a rare opportunity to grab a $4.99 productivity tool at no cost. Unlike generic calculators or manual tables, Cutter delivers precise baseline cutting data instantly, factoring in tool geometry, material group, and real-world variables like chip thinning and cusp height. Whether you're setting up a CNC machine on the shop floor or optimizing a toolpath in the office, Cutter replaces tedious spreadsheet work with a purpose-built, mobile-friendly solution. It supports both metric and US units, computes Material Removal Rate, effective diameter for ball nose tools, and even includes a slide control to adjust step-over and cut width in real time. The app also lets you share cutting data via text or email, making collaboration effortless. With the original $4.99 price tag temporarily dropped to $0, now is the perfect moment to add this niche but indispensable tool to your workflow—before the deal ends.

User Reviews
Such a nice UI. But it is a bit limited in that it only covers two mill profiles (end and ball) and only covers metal (5ish types, SS, Iron, Aluminum, a couple others). Unfortunately, I mostly cnc wood and acrylic, and a tiny bit of aluminum. I also often use different mill profiles. So great but not so great for woodworkers. App developer quickly responded (2024) they plan to add wood profiles, which is hopeful.

Hands down the best feeds and speeds interface I’ve ever used. I do a lot of test cuts from a lot of different tooling companies so being able to browse through their catalogs with this app handy makes my workflow so much better! The interface is extremely easy to use and is a priceless tool in my day-to-day work. All of the other calculators ask you for meaningless information when calculating cutting data, this app simplifies it down and uses the base calculations that all of the tooling manufacturers and CAM systems use. It’s also a step above using a calculator manually to get this data. Would rate 10/5 stars if I could. A+++
